MELT is a simple self-treatment that can help restore your body's natural healing ability, so whatever ails you today can feel a little bit better tomorrow. In particular, MELT helps you identify areas in your body where stress gets trapped, which, if left unaddressed, can cause common misalignments, chronic inflammation, and ultimately pain and injury. Just from daily living, sitting at a computer, standing, walking, carrying bags, your exercise routine, even your mother in law, tension builds up in our bodies. Our nervous system is responsible for managing all this stress while keeping us balanced and stable as we move throughout our day, without us thinking about it. We call this aspect of our nervous system our Autopilot.
The problem is our Autopilot gets overworked and inefficient. How would you know if your Autopilot is inefficient due to stuck stress? Well you might have trouble falling asleep, or maybe your digestion is a bit slow, or your joints ache in the morning. If you have any kind of pain then for sure your Autopilot needs help. So MELT teaches you to help it out by using the 4 R's of MELT-Reconnect, Rebalance, Rehydrate, and Release.
Using 3 small balls and a very soft foam roller designed specifically for MELT you can learn to treat your own connective tissue and rebalance your nervous system. I teach individual, group or corporate classes.

CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle yet powerful modality that addresses emotional as well as physical trauma allowing the body to return to its natural state of well-being by encouraging the removal of fascial restrictions via the cranial membranes, dural tube and facial diaphragms. The fascia, or connective tissue, is vital to structural integrity. This extracellular matrix comprises everything in the body outside of the cells. All structures of the body are at the mercy of how sustainable, efficient and fluid the fascial environment is making direct treatment of this tissue essential for our well-being.
Clothing remains on during a CranioSacral treatment and a light touch is used to access the fascia. Sessions are given in a private, quiet, comfortable room. The client may be standing, seated or lying down depending on the discomfort being experienced or ability of the person. As a client, your comfort is my primary concern and bolsters or wedges are available if needed.
House calls may be made for clients that can not travel, i.e. hospice, terminal or traumatic brain injury.
